What Art Program do you use?

I'm trying to find an easy (free) art program to use for speedpaint (only now discovering this, it explains why everyone else's line's are so smooth e.e) so I can finally start up my art again. I've tried using:
Paint (but it doesn't have the layers option)
Fire Alpaca (But it doesn't come with the line tool)
Gimp: But the canvas was really small and didn't work well on my computer
And Painttool Sai: but it downloaded a virus onto my computer ><
